Richard Mendel is a partner with Birnbrey, Minsk, Minsk & Perling and has spent more than 35 years supporting the firm. His work focuses on financial assurance and tax consulting, with an emphasis on retirement plan audits and audits of closely-held private companies.

Richard is committed to providing clients with outstanding quality in the firm’s services. He has extensive experience in certified audits, reviews, compilations, and agreed-upon procedures, as well as advising businesses, individuals, and fiduciaries in tax matters.

Prior to joining BMM&P, Richard served as an audit supervisor for a national accounting firm and as a chief financial officer / controller in the film and energy sectors. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. When not at work, Richard enjoys college sports – UGA and UNC in particular – as well as following the stock market and politics and spending time with his grandchildren.
