Michael Perling is a name partner with Birnbrey, Minsk, Minsk & Perling, the firm where he started his public accounting career in 1973. His expertise in financial consulting, mergers, and acquisitions guides businesses through negotiations, tax-related questions, and regulatory hurdles. He additionally works with individuals and families in tax planning, wealth preservation, and compliance matters.

In the community, Michael supports several philanthropic organizations. He has served in leadership roles with the Adaptive Learning Center, a school for developmentally disabled children; the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation of Georgia; Congregation Beth Shalom; the Weber School; and the Eagle Nest Foundation.

A native of Louisville, Georgia, Michael graduated Beta Alpha Psi from the University of Georgia and received his master’s in professional accountancy from Georgia State University. He and his wife live in Decatur, Georgia and have one daughter. When not in practice, Michael is an avid golfer and enjoys various other sports, fitness activities, and reading.
